afiefsta's Journal  i can't belive i haven't updated this thing since i moved to nyc! bad. bad. bad. instead of updating the last several months. i'll just give some highlights of the current tour. * we have a merch golf cart! even better, i have a key! * rode a segway today.. fun.fun. fun. * get to hang out with some cool folks from australia.. nice accents.. * dega catering!! yummy food.. yummy boys ... nice ladies.. i'm sure there is more , but i won't bore you. oh, texas sucks. blah....... worked a show in sac today. i was gonna drive back to fresno after ( 2 1/2 hours) but i lucked out and scored one of the drivers room. so it was a weird day. busy.. 3 bands , 1 tour mgr dealing with all of it. actors involved. they had 2 people from the show hosting during set change. it was strange.. i'll post more tomorrow. it's almost 3 . i haven't posted for a while. but i finally have a light at the end of the tunnel. i've booked my jetblue flight to nyc and have put my 2 weeks in at the ebar. i'm working as much as possible before i leave.. i'm just trying to keep myself out of trouble until i leave. so... i was driving home friday night from work when i was at a red light. i got rear ended by a small suv.. awesome.. so now, i have to get all this work done to my car and deal with insurance companies.. to top it off my lower back and neck hurts.. fucking awesome! i can't wait to be in so cal and boarding the boarding the plane in long beach! has anyone seen modest mouse live? i just found out that they are playing this tiny club in fresno on wed night. i'm gonna try and check it out, but i'm abit concerned how they are live. i love their records but i've seen a few tv spots with them and they weren't so good... hate to ruin it. i have great timing! the week i'm in nyc there just happens to be a blizzard . fantastic. nothing like a blizzard to mess up your plans to travel by bus to boston! i dragged em out of the apt last night to see "in good company" in the east villge. she wasn't so pumped. after getting off the subway in brooklyn i saw a bar only a few blocks from em's apt. we stopped for a beer.. we ended up drinking 4 or 5 and play some serious connect four! she kicked my ass. good times though tonight we going to venture into the city to meet up with a friend of em's who is on tour with yanni. i guess yanni cancelled a few shows. should be a good dinner. i am HOWEVER not looking fwd to the 3 blocks to L train. it was so hard to get a car service last night. i called the usuall bushwick service but they weren't driving. then i tried another number, no answer. i guess a blizzard stops everything. i needed to get a car, so i was gonna walk back to the bar when i saw a car service at this gas station. i had to pay $20 for an $8 dollar ride. but whatever. i got where i was going. on the way to ft.greene these 2 drunk looking frat boys were trying to get back to penn station. wonder how long it took them to get out brooklyn don't know if any or you guys like the arcade fire or not. someone sent me the record, it tokk a while, but it grew on me. than i heard some live stuff. sounded good. i'm watching/listening to the kcrw performance now. it's good. i'd like to see them live... Stream the whole show i was inspired to put this link up after i read about your lady's SJP spotting over NYE. http://www.nypost.com/seven/01182005/go i got to nyc today. flew in last night.. i should back up.. start @ the begining. my friend that was taking me to the airport met me drunk. so we she called in reinforcemnts. and her nice friend jimmy picked us up and took me back to the show i was working last night . then took me to the airport. very nice. the whole time with my friend courtney shit faced in the back of the car. she did drink the bottle of H2o i gave her. i hope she is feeling ok today.. just got home from work. watching eye's wide shut. i always seem to miss the first half of the movie. but it just started. gonna try and watchi it. random thoughts from work tonight. we listen to some kind of satelite radio, but it's not like xm or sirius. either way almost every other 4th song is by john mayer, howie day, maroon 5, jason mraz mixed with a little britney and other stuff. but i find myself start singing to on of those boys songs . i have to stop myself. little too weird signing songs by people i've toured with as i wait tables. somethnig very ironic . http://www.drphil.com/show/show.jhtml?c rachel i know i've been lacking on the updates. not a whole lot going on in clovis. i'm still getting over my cough. i think it's my annual winter sniffle w/ cough. so i thought i would share somw worthy news. if anyone watched dr phil today. there was a gal on there named rachel who wanted to loose the weight she had gained from having children before she got married. that's the way they do it clovis. the funny thing is, she was going on about how she teaches "flag" . yada yada yada they showed all this footage of her with her colorguard. kinda funny. it's a girl i used to march with. very random. very |
